Context Clues Graphic Organizer that can be used with any text.
It includes context clues type, dictionary definition, writing your own sentence. It can also be used as a study guide.
Each unit consist of 1 vocabulary map (for students to fill out and use as a guide) and illustrations of vocabulary words.
I assign them for home-learning on a weekly basis. The students complete them in their home-learning composition book, which they also use as study guides for their vocabulary test every week. View the sample below for visual clarification
This product consists of a context clues organizer (which I use to reinforce vocabulary strategies, such as using clues that authors provide in context to help readers decipher meanings of unfamiliar words) and a vocabulary map (which I use to reinforce dictionary skills and as a study guide prior to quizzing and testing)
Students may cut out the rectangular organizer and paste them to their reading & writing interactive notebooks as well as their home-learning notebooks. Fold the context clues
