Children brainstorm what they would spend $100 on. It is actually a great money lesson as they are able to learn what costs more or less than $100 and how much they could actually buy with a $100 dollar bill.

Assess what your students know and don't know about telling time before the unit begins.

Students color and label the parts of an analog clock.

Use as a pre-assessment or post assessment for a money unit. Students will be able to identify coins and their values.

Use this as a pre-assessment prior to number sense unit or after the unit to measure ability.

This could be something you use in the classroom independently or in teams. This could also be an assignment for home where students identify and build with 3d shapes and then record what they have created, take a photo, or bring it in to share with the class!

During our telling time unit, we teach how the calendar helps us tell time. This is a calendar attached to some questions to teach students how to tell time.

Use this while teaching word problems in math. Students write their own then trade with a partner and then solve each other's problems. Could be used with addition, subtraction, or multiplication.

Drawing fractions as a pizza! Great to see the different size of the pieces- a wonderful visual for the younger students.

Students use dice to write the denominator and numerator for each fraction. Students write in the fraction and then draw it.

Looking at analog clocks to write in the digital times

Students write whether they should measure each item with ounces, pounds or tons next to each picture.

Students use clues about the properties of shapes to identify the names of each shape.

Using a ruler, students will search for items that are longer than 12 inches or shorter than 12 inches.
