One school year I had soooo many parents and students claiming that there was bullying going on, but it just simply was not the case. I made this resource specifically for that class and their parents. We did it together, color coding each as we went before cutting and gluing. Then I gave prizes for everyone who reviewed it at home with their parents and brought it back signed. We didn't have an issue after that!

Use these contraction cards to run an inquiry activity. Cut out the cards and pass one to each student. Without giving any instruction on the topic, tell the students to go try to find a "match" for their card. Tell them the cards won't be the same, but they will go together somehow. When they have found someone they think they "match" with, they have to come up with an idea for why they go together. This is a fun way to get kids moving, discussing ideas, and making connections.

This resource is a really fun way to teach students how to categorize words. Print and cut the cards and give them to groups with the directions to sort the cards into any categories they think makes sense. This is an inquiry lesson so we don’t give them more instructions than that. The groups should discuss together the ways that they think they could sort the cards. The categories should be clothes, animals, and food. After the cards have been sorted, tell them to break down and sort each cat
