This PowerPoint presentation introduces students to fables with definitions and background knowledge on Aesop's Fables. It includes two fable examples with students having to identify the moral. After the presentation, students are given directions to work with a partner to read a fable on their own and identify the moral of their given fable.

This activity requires students to read a short fable, identify the moral, and list events from the fable that serve as evidence of the moral. This activity has titles listed but if these fables are not available, the teacher can change the fable title given on the sheet; the activity is not fable specific.
