This is a math powerpoint I made to teach the parts and whole of a problem. I use the Singapore math program and they use number bonds, where the two parts add up to equal the whole. It starts using base ten blocks so students are familiar and then uses real life examples with numbers that are not just 10. I also talk about the difference between when you take away to subtract or when you compare two numbers and use subtraction. I have a word problem to help them visualize that as well. This p
