Use a simple math tool, dice, to review how to write 3-digit numbers in expanded and standard form. As an extension you can also have students draw a quick picture of each number. You can have students place numbers in places in sequential order or as they roll, and have them try to make a larger number than their partner. Compare two numbers for review. Students will use reproducible base ten blocks (can find easily through a search engine) to create a picture of their first initial (or any letter that they choose). Students will be given a number each day to determine the following write it, draw it, spell it, expanded form, add/subtract 10, etc. This sheet is to glue in their "math journal" or notebook. They can use it as a reference each time and you can save paper! Two lists are on one sheet. Double it is starred because for my 2nd graders this may be a challenge in the beginning months of school.
