This is a mini lesson to teach students a variety of quality transition words to use in their writing. Students will work in pairs or groups to practice using more advanced transition words in sentences. They will choose their top 4 transition words to include in future essays.

This can be a whole group introductory or center/small group reteach activity. To use whole group, project the area model templates on white board to model how to solve a 1 digit by 2, 3, or 4 digit multiplication equation or a 2 digit by 2 digit multiplication equation. Print out each area model template and flashcards and laminate for a math center or small group lesson. Print out the "In case you forgot" model for students to refer to when working independently or in a center. Florida stand
This is a tracking sheet for mad minute multiplication worksheets. Because of the new Common Core Standards taking effect and how students are now supposed to track their own progress, this is a great formative assessment to use. --Also, I apologize, the original font I used for this worksheet does not come up, so feel free to customize the font you want.
