Following the GIST statement activity, students will use TIDE to bring together their pull apart ideas and develop the Important Information and Details of their summary. I recommend completing this as a whole class before having students complete independently.
This is a document I created for our SRSD programming, used for grades 4 -6 primarily. I printed this page off for students and put it in a page protector so students can use this graphic organizer again and again!
