In this package, you will be able to use the SRSD Weekly Routine plan accompanied by the Titanic non-fiction article for students to read a dissect. Suitable for grades 4 - 6. In the weekly routine, there is a prompt for students with tailored information to accompany the article.

This weekly routine supports students through the SRSD writing process while building reading fluency, comprehension, and summary writing skills. Students will use the SRSD Weekly Routine Graphic Organizer alongside the GIST and TIDE organizers.

This is a document I created for our SRSD programming, used for grades 4 -6 primarily. Following the GIST statement activity, students will use TIDE to bring together their pull apart ideas and develop the Important Information and Details of their summary. I recommend completing this as a whole class before having students complete independently.
