Hello, This is a powerpoint with sample names, some short some long. You can adjust the slides to your class list. Use the longer names on the slides for names in your class that are longer, just change the letters. Print out on red printer paper. Precut the apple shape. Let students cut on the dotted lines, practice holding the scissors the correct way. Have them mix up the strips and then put them in the correct order by looking at their name cards. Glue the strips on green construction paper

These cards are great to reinforce rhyming with preschool and elementary school students. You will need to print out, cut each page in half, glue on your favorite color construction paper to give a 1/2 inch border, and lastly, laminate. You can put it on a ring and hold up as you sing down by the bay during transitions, circle time, or any other time you want to review rhyming.

Hello Teachers, I love having something for my preschoolers to concentrate on as they walk through hallways. Training them to be quiet and walk like soldiers takes so much longer and is not really useful for their literacy skills in the long run. This is a visual you can hold up as you transition from one activity to another, when walking in hallways and have your students read their first words. To begin recognizing the sounds for these visuals, just have your students learn their first 6 soun

This is your original that you can keep making copies and saving as a new file with your students' names once you edit. In the beginning, have them say the letter names, and write and trace only their first name. Once they have mastered writing their first name and do not require your assistance, add their last name and print the same file out with changes. You can print and keep this as a packet you pull out daily, but take the staple off and spread on your sign in table, so children only fill

Print double sided to get the words on the back of pictures for you to follow as you sing. Laminate and put on a ring to hold up when singing as children follow you during transitions. By singing and acting out "We're Going on a Bear Hunt," children learn key skills like language development through repetitive phrases, vocabulary building, sequencing, physical movement coordination, imaginative play, and social interaction, all while engaging with the story's exciting obstacles and sensory deta

In my previous years, it took many lessons and students still weren't sure. This made me think harder and come up with this new method, that turned out to be so successful, most of my students scored 100% on 5 odd/even test questions. Only two or three of them made one mistake, and answered the remaining four questions correctly. I couldn't really share the method in the sample, you will be able to see the method once you pay 1 dollar for this powerpoint. When your students score 100%, you'll

My students love this name game, and I thought I would create a nursery rhyme poster that they can read if I display in the classroom. This powerpoint includes 12 most common names. If you have students with other names, simply edit this presentation to include all of your class names. You can have children color the elephant, and then add their photo, so they don't color over their photo. The first four slides are for you to laminate. There are empty slides, so that when you print double sided

This is a great way to reach your visual learners who are having difficulties learning their addition facts beyond doubles. Children can master many addition facts without using fingers if they learn this trick. All they have to do is take away 2 from a small number and give it to eight, so that their eight becomes a 10, and the small number becomes 2 less. For example, 8+5 - children can quickly take two in their minds and give it to eight, then it becomes 10 and 3, which equals 13. Children

Hello Everyone, Print, laminate and put these visuals on a ring to show and have your students practice breaking down words into syllables. Each time you flip to the new word, you/they say it, clap it, and count how many claps, and say the number or hold up that many fingers. I usually use these with my preschool students during transitions. I vary how I refer to syllables often. First I start singing: "Hickety Pickety Bumble Bee, Won't you clap this word for me!" then say the word in the pict

I once had teams of two recreate a structure of their choice and compete with each other, and that was a lot of fun. You can also display them on a wall or the back of cubbies that face the block area, so they are in view at all times.

Have one student point to the Letter name first, then to the mouth position picture second (while students say the sound of that letter), and lastly, to the wo

About the store

Experience

I started teaching in 2003. I taught various elementary school grade level students for ten years. For the past 10 years I have been teaching preschool.

Teaching style

I believe that each and every student who comes into my classroom is capable of learning anything I teach, as long as I prepare lessons that match their learning styles and I do not stop believing in them.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelors in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Master of Arts in Teaching (Elementary). Some of the certifications I have are Elementary, PreK-3, and Special Education.

Additional biographical information

I was born in Uzbekistan. When I was 19 years old, I won a grant to study in the United States for a year. Later I came back to earn my Masters Degree. For the past 20 years I have been working with children of all ages and I truly believe that children are all equal and deserve to be educated to their best potential. I started teaching when I was still in elementary school. I used to travel from the city to the suburbs where my mom taught and sit in the back of her classroom and wait while she finished her day. My first lessons were teaching her students the dance steps from my choreography class during recess time. Her students performed in front of the whole school and everyone loved it. One of the guiding principles of Kids for Peace is "We believe that learning about other cultures, lifestyles, and traditions leads to unity, respect, and peace." I love music, arts, the cuisine of Uzbekistan. I love sharing and learning about all cultures.
