Teaching How to Measure in Centimeters First Grade

Created by

Hello Teachers, I created this lesson when I low scores on measurement. When I taught measurement in centimeters using this powerpoint presentation, my students understood the correct way to measure. I didn't have to reteach it again once they saw this lesson. My students always answered test questions that asked to measure in centimeters correctly after this lesson. I hope you like this product!

About the store

Experience

I started teaching in 2003. I taught various elementary school grade level students for ten years. For the past 10 years I have been teaching preschool.

Teaching style

I believe that each and every student who comes into my classroom is capable of learning anything I teach, as long as I prepare lessons that match their learning styles and I do not stop believing in them.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelors in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Master of Arts in Teaching (Elementary). Some of the certifications I have are Elementary, PreK-3, and Special Education.

Additional biographical information

I was born in Uzbekistan. When I was 19 years old, I won a grant to study in the United States for a year. Later I came back to earn my Masters Degree. For the past 20 years I have been working with children of all ages and I truly believe that children are all equal and deserve to be educated to their best potential. I started teaching when I was still in elementary school. I used to travel from the city to the suburbs where my mom taught and sit in the back of her classroom and wait while she finished her day. My first lessons were teaching her students the dance steps from my choreography class during recess time. Her students performed in front of the whole school and everyone loved it. One of the guiding principles of Kids for Peace is "We believe that learning about other cultures, lifestyles, and traditions leads to unity, respect, and peace." I love music, arts, the cuisine of Uzbekistan. I love sharing and learning about all cultures.
