Hey teacher friends! I have found that my students have a better understanding after this activity! This is 2 part activity that could be done in a 60 minute block. First part- Real Number Sort - Give out the bags and tell students to sort the numbers as they see fit into the five categories. - Check as they finish and remove numbers from wrong categories, but don’t tell them why.
