Use this resource to help students understand the different finger patterns on their violin, viola, cello, or bass. Each instrument includes two different pages: one following the Bornoff finger patterns and one that shows the chromatic scale on the fingerboard. Charts with letter names filled in and blank charts are provided. This resource was intended for use by second-fourth year string students who know up to four sharps and four flats, but you can modify for any level.

A helpful resource for string students when learning how to play major scales up to three sharps and three flats. Scales are in first position only for violins, violas, and cellos. Basses go up to third position on the G string. Includes a string finger chart diagram where students can write in the fingering or letter names to help them play the scale. There is also reference to the order of sharps, order of flats, how to identify key signatures, and the circle of fifths.
