It includes all foldable examples, anticipatory set, procedures, and closures for each lesson, homework, labs, directions for centers, materials list, links to relevant videos, a pre-test and post-test, unit map, and printables necessary for the unit. This PowerPoint is a great introduction to adding mixed numbers with unlike denominators. I used it as a minilesson my 5th graders before math workshop. During the presentation, I like to walk around the room while the students solve problems on white boards. My AP was observing me during this lesson and she loved it! This is an easy to put together center! Students can play in pairs or in small groups. Created in black and white for ink-saving printing! Students lay all cards face down and take turns picking two cards. If they match, they keep them. Student with the most matches wins. Cards are self-checking with identical symbols on all matches.
