My name is Kim Bush. I have 30+ years of teaching experience in grades 6–12 mathematics, working with students of all ability levels. My teaching career spans both Alabama and North Carolina, where I have taught a range of math courses and integrated STEM principles into my instruction.

My teaching style is student-centered, engaging and focused on building both confidence and understanding. I believe that every student can be successful in math when given the right support and opportunities to think critically. My classroom emphasizes collaboration, discussion, and active participation, where mistakes are viewed as valuable learning moments. Through a mix of direct instruction, interactive activities, and technology integration, I aim to create a positive learning environment that helps students see math as both challenging and rewarding.

I have a BS in Secondary and Middle School Mathematics from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL as well as a MA in Middle Grades Mathematics from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
