This resource includes all you will need to introduce your students to interpreting remainders. There are 5 anchor charts that detail each of the different ways remainders can be interpreted. These include: using only the remainder, ignoring the remainder, rounding up to the next whole, how many to make another whole set, and using fractions or decimals. Students are given text coding to help them identify and remember each individual type of interpretation. Sample problems and clues for ident
This packet includes a prerequisite assessment for students entering first grade and tracking tables for each mathematic domain, broken down by standard. This assessment could also be used as an end of the year kindergarten cumulative assessment as well.
The test is designed to assess all of the kindergarten Common Core standards for entering first graders. The only standards not assessed include: K.CC.1, K.CC.2, K.O.A.1, K.G.5, K.G.6, K.MD.1. These standards have been specifically excluded
Use this strategy chart as a way to record multiplication and division strategies.
This chart could be used by students either by drawing each strategy or using manipulatives and gluing them to demonstrate each strategy.
This resource could also be printed out and used as an anchor chart for your classroom.
This resource could also be used to differentiate by providing students with different expressions to illustrate and could also serve as an assessment following instruction of strategies
Use this quick little activity to help students practice matching multiplication expressions to those using the distributive property. This can be an independent activity or can be used as a cooperative learning experience with partners using a rally coach method.
This product will allow your students to practice using equations to identify the 6 properties of multiplication including the Identity Property, The Zero Property, The Associative Property, The Distributive Property, and The Commutative Property.
There are 36 different sorting cards in this set and display cards for each of the 6 properties. Each property has 6 different equation cards.
Several uses for these cards are included.
This product is designed to help your students correctly identify the math operation needed to solve given word problems. Twenty task cards are provided with problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. There is also a practice page that has word problems for each of the four operations.
Additionally, there are anchor charts for each of the operations which list clue words for that particular operation. These anchor charts are also provided in a smaller format, great f

This resource has 10 one step and 10 two step story problems. One step story problems use either multiplication or division and asks students to write an equation and expression for each story.
The two step story problems use addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. These story problems ask students to write equations with a solution and using a variable.
Answer keys are provided for all questions.
In this game students will match a multiplication expression with four different expressions that use the distributive property.
Three different cooperative learning uses are included for this product.
This product includes 3 versions of a highly engaging, cooperative learning game. This game requires students to use higher order reasoning to create the largest number possible, up to 6 digits. The second and third versions also require students to find the sum and difference of numbers up to six digits while sharing their strategies with a partner.
All three games are easily differentiated to meet a wide variety of learning needs and are ready made for teacher observations.

In Make A Ten For Hen students practice the make a ten strategy using a ten frame. Students draw two cards numbers 2-12. These numbers are recorded in a number sentence on a recording sheet. Counters are then used for these numbers to fill a ten frame; the leftover counters are "fed to the chicks." Students then record a second number sentence this time showing the same sum using the make a ten strategy.
