This is a great activity game for math centers. The kids love using the spinner, just give them a paper clip to spin around their pencil.

This packet contains 4 kid cards, 12 word problems, 1 sheet each of coins - pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters (half of each side of the coin) and 1 worksheet. The word problems can be used as worksheets by themselves or they can be laminated and cut out to be used as an activity, a math center or small math groups. The problems are realistic to kids (no buying 32 chocolate bars or having 47 oranges here) and the 4 kid cards help when it comes to sorting the coins out and seeing who has how

When I first made these, it was to play Uno with my eldest daughter. Then my middle daughter started sorting them out into colored piles, and the next day I found her at 7 am sorting them into different number groups and I ended up making a ton of games out of the cards. This is a great hands on math activity with a worksheet. Half of the questions require regrouping and half do not. First the students sort the questions and then they each take their own set to fill out the worksheet and then solve the questions. 1-5 students can use this at the same time.
