Organized Elementary

This is meant to be a quick check in to see what students are remembering and thinking after watching the CNN 10 daily news for kids. It allows students to share their thoughts in a way that is safe and still allows them to have their opinions. This is a great way to not have them do too much work about the news, but to still be able to look back on it. I keep these and have them made into a little book for each student to be able to look back on what they remember from the year.

This set of task cards includes 30 task cards to be used to play the game scoot with questions about: common nouns, proper nouns, singular nouns, and plural nouns.

This is a tool used for students to track what they are reading. At the end of each chapter they write what happened in the chapter and then they hand it in at the end of the book. I use it as a check-in too to see what they are reading throughout the book. Once printed out back to back the page can be folded in half and kept right in the book they are reading.

This is a weekly reading log for students to complete at home, and have parents sign. This has a variety of questions that they answer, they choose which question they want to answer after each time that they read.
