I have been teaching in a bilingual (English/Spanish) setting for 16 years. I taught bilingual kindergarten for 3 years, and bilingual 1st/2nd grade for two years before becoming a bilingual academic interventionist. I now work with students in grades K-5 who need extra support in reading and/or math.

Teaching style
I truly believe in letting kids figure things out on their own through hands-on, guided experiences. I try to stay away from worksheets; however, I know that some lessons can be great with support from worksheets. The trick is to not become too dependent on worksheets, and to let students learn through experimentation and exploration.
My own education history
I graduated from Aurora University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a minor in Spanish. I have my bilingual teaching license and a Master's of Science in Reading.
Additional biographical information
Although I've used TpT for YEARS now, I'm just getting set up to sell items through a store of my own. I only have a few very basic items, but am hoping that I'll be able to offer a lot more of options/materials in the upcoming months. Thank you for your interest!!!
