In this assignment, students begin by identifying and exploring infographics. They then must select a topic which they want to explore and create an infographic. The package includes the assignment sheet, guiding questions, success criteria, a rubric and sample infographics to view.

This is a culminating task for a unit on New France in Grade 7 History. The task allows the students to investigate the key roles in New France and think critically about the significance that they hold.

This is a compilation of many questions which can be used for the three part math lesson, or for problem of the week questions. The questions are divided by mathematical strand. Each question requires the student to inquire and apply their mathematical thinking to develop a solution. In total, there are 24 questions which can be used, or adapted to suit your needs.

After seeing many of these online that were limited, repetitive or inappropriate, I decided to make my own. Each meme is different, you won't find any repeated images, and you'll notice that it is sorted into different categories like "routines", "homework", "questions that drive your teacher crazy". Here is an activity that incorporates social justice and math. It provides students will data on child soldiers around the world and has them graph the data, then answer critical questions.

This is a culminating task for 3D Measurement. It was designed for Grade 7, but can easily be modified for other grades as well. The activity is tied to social justice. This is a booklet for students to communicate their mathematical thinking. It is focused on the use of math journals and problem solving techniques for students to use. The booklet includes steps for students, a description of the journal process, tips on problem solving, a blank template, and a math journal rubric.

This is a formative assessment tool which can be used to track students' progress or record notes, along with a grade level, during an activity.

This file contains a game card and instruction sheet for a game called "BOLF" which combines the skills of basketball and the scoring concepts of Golf. The students use basketbell nets, either in the gym or outside and track the number of shots they take. Each basketball net has a different "par", so the students must calculate their score in relation to the par for that basket.

This a great graphic organizer that helps students to organize their ideas and supporting detail before they begin writing their paragraphs.
