This resource is intended to support the instruction found in Eureka/Engage NY. There are places to take notes with each lesson and a table of contents at the beginning to make finding the notes easier. Vocabulary at the beginning of the module helps scaffold terminology that comes up during the module. My students have been using this and have said they find it helpful. Engage students in learning more about the U.S. Presidents. This project has several options for implementation, in addition, a learning contract allows for differentiation. This project can be extended into a persuasive writing piece. Galley-walk format for presentation includes a note-catcher and a rubric.

This resource provides a writing menu for each of the months August through May. The purpose is to have student become more engaged in the writing process by allowing each student to choose a practice writing on a variety of topics. The way I have used writing menus in the classroom is to help students build writing stamina through high interest topics. This is a tool to aid students in organizing their vocabulary studies within the interactive notebook. It is used vertically to draw 2-columns, has information on the guide to remind them what information goes where and can then be used as a bookmark. The 2-column format allows for studying words with the picture as a study aid.

Use this cover for the front of the student's interactive notebooks for math. Cover with clear contact paper or packing tape to help the notebook last longer.

This resource can be copied onto card stock and cut into 3" x 5" cards. Use them to randomly call on students throughout the year, record birthdays and learn what they consider good teaching. For teaching multiple classes, I put each class on a different color card stock. ENJOY!
