This resource provides a writing menu for each of the months August through May. The purpose is to have student become more engaged in the writing process by allowing each student to choose a practice writing on a variety of topics. The way I have used writing menus in the classroom is to help students build writing stamina through high interest topics. This bookmark helps students keep track of the reading strategies they use.

Students keep tracker on their desk throughout the week and then it goes home in Friday Folders. Parents sign and students return.

This resource can be copied onto card stock and cut into 3" x 5" cards. Use them to randomly call on students throughout the year, record birthdays and learn what they consider good teaching. For teaching multiple classes, I put each class on a different color card stock. ENJOY!
