This is a fun and creative way to blend words. First, have students write each phoneme in a box. Cut out the characters and slide them across the road as they sound out the words. Kids love games. My students beg for this one all the time, so I had to upload it for you to! This is a spin-off of UNO, except that it's phonics-focused as BUZZ! The extra cards keep it interesting, and instead of a number in the corner, they can either match the color or syllable type, which helps kids become more fluent with syllable types. Don't forget to print pages 2-17, front and back, on cardstock, then laminate. I hope you love this as much as my intervention students do!
