Check out these sight word playing cards! These are based on the Science of Reading and CKLA word lists. I have a variety of themes and levels of these. These include several gaming options. These are kindergarten to first-grade words, and work best when printed on cardstock front and back. I hope you love this fun way to learn sight words as much as my intervention students do!

This is a fun and creative way to blend words. First, have students write each phoneme in a box. Cut out the characters and slide them across the road as they sound out the words. This is great for young readers, individually or in a small group. Keep it fresh by printing out one for each holiday season. I do this in two variations. One where I write out the word, they copy, and we figure it out together. In the other variation, I give students the word, and they map it themselves, then we blend
Word Mapping is a powerful tool that helps children break down and decode words by understanding syllables, word parts, and spelling patterns. Students learn to recognize concepts like open and closed syllables while building stronger reading and spelling skills. Designed to support both teachers and parents, this resource provides a clear scaffold for how words are structured and what students should look for as they decode unfamiliar words with confidence.
