I have been teaching AP and Honors physics for over 10 years as well as astrophysics labs at the collegiate level. I am AP certified by the College Board. I have an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University, a Master's Degree in STEM Education from the University of Maryland, and a Master's of Applied Physics at John's Hopkin's Whiting School of Engineering with focuses in Material Sciences and Space Systems. I have published work in the Journal of Teacher Action Research, titled: Determining the Effects of Cooperative Problem-Solving in a High School Physics Setting on the Students’ Confidence, Achievement, and Participation

Teaching style

I believe in an inquiry-based, collaborative style of teaching. In my classroom students are pushed to answer higher-order thinking questions while engaging in content-specific discourse with their peers and teacher. I believe in creating content that is diverse, inclusive and creates a safe and productive learning environment for students.
