Experience

I’ve been teaching in Ontario for over 25 years, working primarily in junior grades with a focus on integrated, project-based learning. My background spans literacy, science, technology, and social studies, and I specialize in designing interdisciplinary units that connect curriculum expectations to real-world issues. In addition to teaching full time, I work in education consulting, supporting innovation and technology integration across classrooms. I’m passionate about helping educators design experiences that are accessible, inclusive, and joyful.

Teaching style

My classroom is built around inquiry, creativity, and collaboration. I believe students learn best when they are actively constructing knowledge through hands-on exploration, problem solving, and reflection. I create classroom environments where curiosity drives learning, mistakes are part of the process, and every student feels a sense of belonging.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’ve led numerous classroom and board-wide initiatives in STEM, AI literacy, and project-based learning. My classroom has been featured for its Girls Who Game program and Minecraft Education projects, which empower students — especially girls — to develop confidence and leadership through design and coding.
