I am a private practice owner at Playing Our Part Speech Therapy. I have experience as a school-based speech-language pathologist where I've served students ages 2 through 21 with various needs. These various settings offered opportunities for collaboration with several professionals. One of my greatest accomplishments during my time as a school-based SLP was getting to create playground and classroom communication boards. I am a private practice owner at Playing Our Part Speech Therapy. I have experience as a school-based speech-language pathologist where I've served students ages 2 through 21 with various needs. These various settings offered opportunities for collaboration with several professionals. One of my greatest accomplishments during my time as a school-based SLP was getting to create playground and classroom communication boards. I am experienced in communication device set up and communication partner coaching (family members, teachers, and numerous professionals).

Teaching style

I use play-based and child-led strategies in my therapy. I also am a big believer in integrating parents/caregivers into session in order to promote generalization. I have been learning more about the neurodiversity movement and aim to encourage neurodiverse practices.

Jennifer created Playing Our Part Speech Therapy to promote speech and language strategies in children's natural play and daily routines. Her mission is to collaborate with families in order to discover ways to easily integrate speech and language throughout their day. Jennifer is dedicated to serving children and educating families through play-based learning strategies. Her goal is for children to generalize acquired skills into their everyday lives, ultimately increasing children's independence. She understands the importance family involvement has on a child's wellbeing and strives to promote collaborative learning. Therefore, parent questions, comments, suggestions, and participation are met with open arms. Therapy with Jennifer will feel like play to your child as her warm, spirited personality sets a welcoming tone.
