She also serves as the Executive Director of Education for Odyssia Learning, an international e-learning platform. Dr. Shaana completed bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Biological Anthropology at University of California, Los Angeles. She received her master’s degree and teaching credential in Early Childhood Special Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills. Dr. Shaana obtained her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, with an emphasis in Educational Psychology, at University of Southern California. Dr. Shaana is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with over 20 years of experience working in both public and private settings to improve the experiences of children with learning differences.

Teaching style
I believe that young children should be allowed to engage in open-ended activities and experiences. All children with disabilities should have the opportunity to be educated with typically-developing peers, to the maximum extent that is appropriate.

Dr. Berman is the recipient of several research grants and awards, such as The Naumberg Research Grant (199) and the President's Undergraduate Fellowship (1999). She is a Golden Key Honor Society member.
