Students pre select a job (social media director, restaurant manager, warehouse manager, or construction site foreman). Teacher prints corresponding number of projects. Each project is about 6 pages. The project is several pages long - students must graph and deal with multiple representations of systems of equations in situations specific to the job that they picked. this is a "real world" application exam for exponential and logarithmic. I use as the second half with my easier exponential and logarithmic multiple choice exam. This has a bomb that spreads radiation exponentially and the second part of the test deals with calculating radioactive decay to come back to the city after the bomb hits.

The project explores buying different priced houses with different interest rates to explore how exponential functions affect real world total amounts paid. The second portion explores buying a new car. Each car has a different depreciation value and students explore exponential decay by analyzing the depreciation of a car's value over time.
