About the store
Mrs. L. Anna Schott is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and former Professor of Education at the University of North Florida. She is based in Tampa, Florida, where she lives with her husband and their many beloved pets. Anna holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a master’s degree in Special Education from Walden University, with additional endorsements in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Autism. She completed advanced postgraduate coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology prior to sitting for her boards and earning her BCBA credential. Before transitioning fully into clinical practice, Anna spent 9 years teaching in public education, the majority of that time in special education classrooms. During her tenure, she was nominated for the Excellence in Action Award and received the Cheers to PUBlic Service Award, recognizing her meaningful and lasting impact on students and families within her community. Anna also served for 2 years as the Academic Coordinator at the Shepherd Center, a world-renowned catastrophic care hospital. In this role, she developed, wrote, and implemented a spinal cord injury prevention curriculum for Cobb County Public Schools—a program that was adopted district-wide and remains in use today. Currently, Anna works within her community as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, providing direct therapy and consultation services to children and adults with severe and complex disabilities. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice, with a strong belief in honoring both the individual and the systems that support them. Outside of her professional work, Anna enjoys spending time with animals, traveling with her husband, discovering great pizza, and enjoying a good glass of wine.
