I am in my sixth year of teaching and my fourth year teaching Pre-K. My other experience was teaching Kindergarten, Middle School Reading, and High School Reading. I have had the privilege of teaching general education and special education students.
Option 1: Students will use a fake snowball or a beanbag to toss at the yetis. They will identify the number on the belly of the yeti. Option 2: Students will match up the numbers on the yetis bellies to the snowballs.
The flamingo number and addition cards are a fun small group or center activity. Students can practice sorting and decomposing numbers less than or equal to 10.
Just place the numeral cards on baskets or floating flamingo drink holders. Students select an addition card and solve it. Once they have solved the problem they can match it to the correct product basket or flamingo.
Students can practicing identifying the numbers 0-10 and creating different sets. This packet come with 4 different learning mats. Each background has has fence with a five and ten from on it. This will allow you to select the number number range you want to focus on. The five and ten frames give students a defined space to place the pumpkin counters. You may choose to use pumpkin erasers or counts to represent the pumpkins. These math mats go great with the Five Little Pumpkins book.
This packet comes with palm tree wands, recording sheets, letter and number coconuts cards. The instruction sheet offers seven idea on how to use the letter and number cards to create fun and interactive lessons. Option 1: Alphabet match up Print out the alphabet cards (uppercase, lowercase, or both). English Language Arts, Math, Phonics & Phonological Awareness
This is a fun game to play during large group or small group. Select either the number or letter cards. Place them into a bag. Students take turns selecting a card and identifying it. If the child select a JUMPING BEAN card the get up and jump five times.
All the Animals escaped from the zoo. Students can help the zoo keepers by putting them back in their cages.
Place the zoo keeper cards on the outside of a bucket. Students will select a card and solve the addition problem listed on it. After finding the answer they will place it into the correct cage (bucket).
Student can practice copying and creating patterns. This pattern cards can be used with mini erasers or with the spooky cards provided in the pack. Students can practice AB and ABC patterns.
Students can feed the gingerbread people yummy shape or color candy. Practice identifying shapes and colors. This activity could also be used as a sorting activity.
Option 1 · Print trees mats and apple cards. · Cut, laminate, and cut again. · Place apple rhyming cards in a bag or bin. · Each students takes turns selecting an apple card. · Have the students sort the rhyming apple to the correct word family tree Option 2 · Print apple cards. · Cut, laminate, and cut again. · Place apple rhyming cards in a bag or bin. · Each students takes turns selecting an apple card. · Have the students produce a rhyme for each apple. Option 3 · Print apple cards.
Student can practice identifying and saying the numbers 0-31. Students will use the Bad Wolf wand to catch the piggy numbers. Once the pig is caught the student can either say or write the number on the card. Happy Learning :)
Ways to Play 1. Students can match up fish cards to numeral cards 2. Students can place fish or number cards in order forward or backwards 3. Students can select a numeral and identify it. Then, create a set on the ocean math mat. 4. Students can select a fish card. Identify the quantity using 1:1 correspondents and then create the set on the ocean math mat.
Student can practice creating different numbers up to 10. Student will select a numeral card and practice filling in the frame.
