We are a pair of primary teachers with a wide range of experience! Between the two of us, we have taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades! We have experience with general education, special education, ELL, and more!
My district began using Math Expressions this fall. As a 2nd grade teacher, I needed to create some materials to help the students understand the concept of Math Mountains and give them extra practice (since they did not have it in kindergarten and 1st grade).
This download includes:
* colored "poster" demonstrating a Math Mountain (with a mountain graphic and the tiny tumblers on the sides)
* black and white copy of the same poster to be reproduced (i.e. for students' notebooks)
* flash car
I created this product for my 2nd grade students who were unclear when to use apostrophes (and were using them for plurals). I began with the posters and then decided to make some practice pages to go along with them.
This download contains 2 colorful posters (Plurals and Ownership) and 3 practice pages (Plurals - adding s, Possessive - adding 's, and Plural or Possessive - choose the correct spelling).
This download includes games and worksheets to help your 2nd grade students practice counting money and solving word problems using various money amounts. Activities and games are aligned with the 2nd grade common core math standard 2.MD.8 (solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using the dollar sign and cent sign appropriately).
The following sheets are included:
* Collect 25 Cents game (directions, recording sheet, sample recording sheet)
* Collec

As a result, I have been creating these sheets, using the same "spiral review" idea as presented in our new program. I have made 2-3 sheets each week since September.
