Primary Lessons

This is a hand drawn Christmas colouring page, which I made. It can be used in a fun art activity coming close to Christmas, to be coloured directly or as inspiration for the childrens' own drawings. The image could also be used in an Oral Language lesson or as inspiration for creative writing on the topic of Christmas and presents. Suitable for all age groups. This is a lesson plan introducing 1st/2nd grade, 1st/2nd class, KS 1/2 to 2-D shapes (square, rectangle, triangle, circle). Through use of interactive acitivities and games, children will be enabled to identify, list characteristics, sort, compare and constrast different 2-D shapes. This lesson also includes the use of tangrams as a fun way to use shapes.

This is an SPHE/ Wellbeing/ Mindfulness lesson which can be used with all levels in primary/ elementary school. Through discussion, guided discovery, self reflection and meditation, the pupils will learn how they can have a "kind mind" towards themselves, especially when they faced with a challenge. This activity is designed to be used with the "Kind Mind" PowerPoint presentation which is available on my TpT page. I hope you enjoy this lesson and can use it with the pupils in your class.
