Assessments are broken into 25 words each to use throughout the year. Just highlight the words they can read and write the score at the bottom. Send home as a formative assessment several weeks before report cards to keep parents informed and as a guide of what words they need to practice.

Thanksgiving writing paper. Talk about all the things you are thankful for. Make a list on chartpaper and talk about inventive spelling and stretching out the words so they can write down the letter sounds they hear. Draw a picture in the box of what they are thankful for. I used this in first grade and in Kindergarten. Happy Thanksgiving!

Number Recognition in a Lucky Leprechaun version of Go Fish. Great for intervention or a independent Math Center. Can also be used as flashcards or to send home for review.

Valentine's Day themed Writing paper. Lined, interlined and blank journal paper for beginning writers with space to draw the things they love. Help your early learners learn to read and write by writing a sentence down for them to copy onto their writing paper or have them finish the sentence: I love... and draw the things or the people they love in the space provided. Great for literacy centers, sharing time and for display on the bulletin board. Happy Valentine's Day!

Christmas coloring pages to keep your early learners engaged during these last few days before the break. A few easy math pages are included to practice patterning, counting, printing numbers and recognizing numbers as well. I hope your students enjoy these pages while listening to some holiday tunes, having good conversations with their classmates and unknowingly strengthening their fine motor skills.
