Using the research done by Fountas & Pinnell on handwriting instruction, I’ve put together a printing booklet that you can use with your students. Each page has an instruction box that gives the “verbal path for the formation of letters.” As well, a little reminder to use spaces between each letter!

This package is organized into short and long vowel sounds of many high frequency words for Grade 2 students. Each list should take about one week. This Reading Strategies Graph will help your students be mindful and keep track of the reading stragies they use each day and week. You can conference with each student about the strategies they are using consistently and ones they could use more to help them become better readers.
