About the store

Experience

This is my fifth year teaching fourth grade at a Title-1 school. I teach a diverse population of students with very different academic abilities and behavioral needs. I am a mentor teacher for beginning teachers and a Teacher Leader in my school.

Teaching style

I am a very energetic teacher that values collaboration among students. I try to act as the facilitator the majority of the time and let the students lead their own learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I received Rookie Teacher of the Year my first year of teaching. I am the 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year for my school.

My own education history

I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In August I will pursue my Master's Degree in Reading Education.
