Here is a project that students can work on to show their understanding of measurement of time. The project includes the directions for students to create their "Dream Saturday". Students decide what they would do on their dream Saturday and create a timeline that covers one day's events. The project ranges from telling time, creating word problems based on their timeline, and later solving elapsed time problems. Students will also write a paragraph describing their day.

There are three different sets / levels of world problems for students to work on it. They are challenging and require students to apply critical thinking skills to understand the problem and attack it! This is meant to use after students have a strong understanding of area and perimeter.

Attached is a one page homework assignment that supports students' understanding of quadrilaterals.
Students are asked to identify attributes of a quadrilateral, identify quadrilaterals in an assortment of shapes, and then find the perimeter of a quadrilateral (review from our last unit)
This worksheet has students practicing time using the words "after" and "past." It is best used after students have mastered telling time to the nearest minute.
This is a worksheet that can be used to reinforce how to tell time in two different ways for students. Students need to calculate minutes to and minutes after the hour.
This is a two page template to use with protective sleeve covers where kids can use whiteboard markers to write with. I use the protective sleeves A LOT in my class to limit the number of paperwork. Students use this template during our time unit (specifically when I teach elapsed time and time intervals). They can follow along with my lesson or can practice problems with a partner.

Experience
This is now my 4th year teaching. I have been teaching third grade for 2 years and taught 4th grade prior to that.
Teaching style
I love to make learning fun. I dedicate MANY countless hours to this profession. My weekends consist of searching and creating fun activities and lessons for the kids!
My own education history
I obtained my undergraduate degree in economics and management. I worked in an accounting field for a couple of years which I didn't feel suited me. I decided to get a masters in elementary education and become a teacher. I now do what I love!
