I have taught 4th grade in Maryland for 10 years and 5th grade for 1 year. For many years, I was departmentalized teaching only Reading/Language Arts and Science. I actually enjoyed teaching grammar and learning about/using the 6+1 Trait method for writing. I also spent 2 years as a science resource teacher working with teachers and students in all elementary grades.

Teaching style
I love having parts of a lesson be hands-on. Even something as boring as grammar can become tactile and therefore memorable. I love teaching science!

Additional biographical information
I love to read and am thankful for my Kindle. I enjoy bowling and mini-golf. My favorite time of day is coming home and being greeted enthusiastically by my two dogs.
