Prior to students crafting their resumes, give them an opportunity to brainstorm and create a map of their professional history to use as a launch pad! Great way to teach the common parts of a resume and prompt them to consider those areas that may impact their professional resume in the future!

Students rate themselves on these 25 categories of professionalism, soft skills, and employability. I use these quarterly and perform one-on-one performance reviews with them to discuss their strengths and weaknesses. I also count professionalism as 20% of their grade since I teach Career & Tech Education.
