About the store

Experience

My teaching career started in 2002, and the passion continues to grow! I have taught Spanish in high school, English to university students in China, Sciences at the high school level, and Math to middle school and high school students. I currently teach math to all students from 7th grade through seniors in a K-12 school in Alaska after moving from Texas and teaching science several years ago.

Teaching style

Learning is an active, not passive, event, and as such, my students learn through doing. Using appropriate levels of activities from group learning to individual practice and assessment, allows students to gain knowledge and grow throughout the year. A typical day in my classroom includes math skills review, brief instructional portions, group activities, and individual practice for the new concepts, and an informal assessment of the day's objective.

My own education history
