Experience

After having taught 5th grade for 10 years, I am now teaching accelerated content for 3rd through 5th graders. While teaching 5th grade I taught a range of learners from special education inclusion to RTI to gifted.

Teaching style

I believe is incorporating critical thinking across the board. Students will rise to meet our expectations if we as teachers give theme chance and the tools to do so. I use workshop models in reading, writing and math with student centered activities.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Nominated for Teacher of the Year 3 times. Teacher of Year Finalist.

My own education history

My undergraduate degree is in Middle Grades education with an emphasis on math and language arts. I also hold a Masters degree in Literacy.

Additional biographical information
