Aligned with a commonly used phonics program throughout schools, these I CAN Statements are aligned with each unit. It gives me as a teacher a better look at what I will be teaching, along with the children.

Vocabulary Books
Vocabulary Books is great to have when doing reading. Whenever a student comes across a word he/she may not know, it's a wonderful opportunity to write it in the book, look up the meaning/synonym and draw an illustration. Its also great for Academic Vocabulary.

For all of the teachers out there preparing for the state tests coming out way, one of my huge things with my students is telling them they MUST read and follow the directions carefully. This is a great way to see who really follows the directions.
