While working with my students on a daily basis with reading goals, I wanted a way to monitor what goals they are reaching and what we need to continue to work on. I found many different things on the internet, but non matched what I was imagining in my head. Some were set up similar, but didn’t have the components I wanted included, so I decided to make my own. Each section is worth 3 points (similar to have the reading records are scored). The most they can receive is a total of 21 points.

I used this product with my 2nd graders to fill in the blanks with their own rhymes. I then displayed it on a bulletin board for Read Across America!!! Included are 4 pages from various Dr. Seuss stories.
