Experience
In my 18 year teaching career, I have taught every class from grade 6 to Calculus and AP Statistics.
Teaching style
I believe in helping students make connections so that they understand how mathematics topics relate to one another. Additionally, the focus of the material I have posted in Teachers Pay Teachers is for students to practice the math they have learning in meaningful situations that require them to use higher-level thinking skills.
My own education history
I have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Central College (Iowa) and Masters degrees in Teaching Mathematics from the University of Northern Iowa and the University of Nebraska.
Additional biographical information
Over the course of my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to teach in public and private schools in Iowa and Missouri in the United States and at International schools in Mexico and Korea.
