About the store
I have taught for twelve years in the elementary setting. With a brief hiatus to have children, I returned 6 years ago to a fast-paced, technology relevant classroom and have been learning and growing right along with my students. Currently, I teach Second Grade, and that has consumed most of my teaching experience. I love this age level and their love for learning.

Students will enjoy this fast-paced game of equations, designed to be like the word game of Boggle. The strategy is the same…find two, three, four or more numbers in a row that add up to the given number in each given box on the game board. This is a great way for students to review basic math skills while continuing onto other math concepts. It's very easy to differentiate with this activity and is not a lot of work for the teacher. This could easily be used for multiplication and division as

This formative assessment is meant to be used to "check-in" with students at the mid-point of the "Understanding Plane and Solid Figures" Unit. You will need to draw the dotted lines on the 3-D figures (if you think your students need them) and shade the fractional parts you would like to assess for your students.

Experience

I have taught for twelve years in the elementary setting. With a brief hiatus to have children, I returned 6 years ago to a fast-paced, technology relevant classroom and have been learning and growing right along with my students. Currently, I teach Second Grade, and that has consumed most of my teaching experience. I love this age level and their love for learning.

Teaching style

I offer a balance between teacher and student directed learning. I tend to naturally differentiate because that is how I learn myself. I like to help my students understand relevant connections between what they learn in school and the outside world. I am constantly changing the way I tech units...they are not the same from year to year. I believe in spontaneity and flexibility with structure.
