About the store

I have taught for twelve years in the elementary setting. With a brief hiatus to have children, I returned 6 years ago to a fast-paced, technology relevant classroom and have been learning and growing right along with my students. Currently, I teach Second Grade, and that has consumed most of my teaching experience. I love this age level and their love for learning.

This web quest is the perfect enrichment activity for students who are learning about standard measurement units as well as time. What's included: A 10 page slide show. The first 5 pages are the actual web quest and the last 5 slides are the different tasks the students need to complete on their quest.

Teaching style

I offer a balance between teacher and student directed learning. I tend to naturally differentiate because that is how I learn myself. I like to help my students understand relevant connections between what they learn in school and the outside world. I am constantly changing the way I tech units...they are not the same from year to year. I believe in spontaneity and flexibility with structure.
