In this fun back to school math activity, students will create a "glyph" of themselves by including items on the picture that represent them (ie. hair color, birth order, month of birth, etc.). Students can then have fun comparing their glyphs to their classmates. This activity can be used with the Reading the Back to School Glyph created by Rencharee. This is in editable format!

This crossword puzzle was created for upper elementary grades. It DOES NOT include equations using exponents. A nice feature of this crossword puzzle is that the answers are written in word form, so students get practice with 2 skills in 1! It's a nice break from the traditional pencil and paper activity, too. This crossword can be used a whole group activity, or in a math center. Enjoy!
