This a presentation to be used at the beginning of a unit introducing quadratic equations and parabolas. It answers that never-ending question of "How is this used in real life?" by showing pictures and examples such as parabolas in nature, architecture, and sports. There are also word problems that use these same type of real world examples. My intention to close the lesson is that students come up with their own real-life examples that may be used on a later assessment.

This is a bingo game I created as a review for the 2nd semester final for an Algebra 1 class. There are useful hyperlinks throughout that make it easy to click back to the main numbers screen. The answers are included on one slide for quick reference. One less thing to think about. There are enough questions on here to play about two games without repeating (varies on class size).

This is a two-sided worksheet for students to find missing lengths of triangles and then classify them as equilateral, isosceles, or scalene based on the lengths. I tried to find a worksheet myself, but all the ones I found also had classifying triangles by angles. I wanted to do a lesson first on sides only for my 3rd grade class, so I created my own. Using a tool theme, I created a PowerPoint presentation to be viewed and discussed with students as they follow along completing the pages of their packet. This activity serves as a review of the chapter about circles and their properties. It includes rules and equations for students to use to find missing angle measures or segment lengths. Slides 9 - 15 are to be printed out as a packet for each student.
