Experience

I’ve been teaching for 8 years, mostly in Early Years, but I’ve also spent time with the older ones in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. The last 3 years have given me invaluable experience in special needs education, and now I’m working as a guidance officer (school counsellor). I absolutely love creating resources that make life easier for teachers in the classroom. Working with kiddos is my passion, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Teaching style

I believe in making learning fun and engaging for students. I try to create engaging yet rigorous lessons that inspire students to think criticially and outside the box. I love songs, games, and hands-on activities and incorporate them on a daily basis. I try to focus on my students' interests and weave them into my instruction. I use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of my students. I also believe that with the right resources, mindset, and strategies, all students can achieve at high levels and learn to love learning. My goal is to help teachers get some time back in their life by providing resources and strategies to inspire you.

My own education history

I have a Bachelors of Education (Primary) Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia. Graduated in 2009. I also have a Masters in Guidance, Counselling and Careers from University of Queensland, Australia. Graduate in 2023.

Additional biographical information

I was born in India and moved to Brisbane, Australia at the age of three, where I grew up and completed my primary, secondary, and tertiary education. Brisbane became home, shaping much of who I am today. After earning my Bachelor's degree in 2009, I entered the workforce with high hopes—but a disheartening final placement led me to pivot toward retail management. I ended up spending seven years in the field, gaining valuable leadership and customer service experience. But deep down, I knew my true passion lay elsewhere. Eventually, I made the bold decision to return to teaching—and it turned out to be one of the best choices of my life. That decision reignited my sense of purpose and opened doors I never imagined possible: from teaching in China for a year, to living and working in the UK for two years, to immersing myself in a variety of educational systems around the world. These experiences have shaped me into a more adaptable, globally minded educator. They’ve deepened my appreciation for the diverse ways people learn, grow, and connect. Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue evolving in this journey, bringing everything I’ve learned into each new classroom and community I become part of.
