The Book of Judges and The Cycle of Sin Wheel

I created this to correspond with The Gospel Project's curriculum's introduction to Judges. Students could draw and color a picture to represent each section and/or write words. Students could list judges and events in the Bible (write references) to represent what occurred in the book of Judges for each section of the wheel.

Multisyllable Board Game

This Basketball themed game is a fun way to practice counting syllables. The student rolls a die and lands on a particular word. They must "clap" out the syllables and state how many syllables there are total. This game is ideal for a small group of 2-5 students. It could be a fun addition to literature center time.

"Dis", "Re", "Un" Prefix Board Game

In this game, the students will each have their own "piece". They will roll one 6 sided die, (or a smaller numbered die if available), to determine how many spaces to go. If they land on a prefix, they will say a word that has that prefix. If they land on one of the words, the student will add a prefix that makes a new word. Ex: If the student lands on the word "-think" the student will say re-think. This game is ideal for a small group of 2-5 students. It could be a fun addition to literat

Sight Word Tracking *EDITABLE*

At my school, our first graders have 40 sight word lists to learn, (10 for each quarter). If they finish those, there are 40 challenge sight word lists. I created this template to be able to easily track to see which word list they are currently working on. You could easily edit this to fit your own personal sight word assessment.

Weekly Lesson Plans (All Subjects) *EDITABLE*

I created this document for my own personal use because I couldn't find a lesson plan template that I liked. I've used this since spring 2018, and have loved it! The first page is an overview of the week-which is where I type in special events or times for meetings. Then, there are 5 pages with sections for each subject. I normally adjust the font so that each daily lesson plan fits on one page. You can easily change the cell box colors and font to something that would make you more excited

Classroom Library Organization

During my first two years of teaching, I had most of my books stashed in random big bins. The kids still read books-but it was not organized in any sense. I wanted the students to be able to easily find books they enjoyed, and I wanted to be able to do the same! I decided to invest in a new bookshelf, new book bins, and thus, a new classroom library organization system. I saw some classroom library organization resources on TPT that I liked, but I wanted something I could personalize. Somet

There are options for the 10 words (review & new) or 12 words (review, new, & challenge). Why I created this: When in my first year of teaching using the HMH Into Reading curriculum, I realized there were some students in my class who needed a little more support during the weekly spelling tests. I created this resource to p

Color Theory for Little Learners

Are you introducing colors to your little learner? Or an art teacher planning a painting or color theory unit? Then this resource might be for you! I wanted a simple visual for my preschooler to begin to understand regular, light, and dark colors, but couldn't find what I wanted. So, I made this! This can be used as a simple poster to reference color names. It can also be used as a reusable interactive matching activity (print, laminate, cut, and use velcro pieces to match each color to the c

How to Use Lexia CORE 5 Instructions

I created this PowerPoint for my First Graders when we first introduced Lexia CORE 5. When I created this, I did not include the normal way to log out (click the red x until you see the puppy and then click sign out), because I was still learning. Although it was a lot for them to take in, I would like to think it helped them in the computer lab when logging in for the first time. You can easily add text to explain each step-I preferred to only use visuals and just verbally explain. **DISCLAM

Comprehension Board Game

This is a game that tests students' comprehension of a text. It is ideal for students who are reading chapter books to assess their understanding after each chapter. However, it could be used for short stories or other short readings. A student rolls a 6-sided die and goes to a certain point on the board. Each number on the board corresponds with a comprehension question on the attached sheet. The star means that the child may roll again and take another turn. An arrow means they must go ba
